❤️ Celebrating the People Who Make Ashland Schools Special! 🐻
Ashland High School recently welcomed retired staff back for a special celebration filled with delicious treats, warm conversations, and plenty of Grizzly memories!
Our talented students prepared an irresistible spread of cookies, mini tarts, tiny muffins, and more under the expert guidance of Maryetta Jacques, whose wonderful eye for presentation made the treats as beautiful as they were delicious.
Retired and current staff mingled, shared stories, and reconnected as we honored the educators and staff members who have shaped generations of Ashland students. Some of our retirees began their careers in the 1960s—a remarkable legacy of dedication and service to our community!
From the students who baked with care to the colleagues who came together to celebrate, the gathering was a beautiful reminder that being part of Ashland Schools means belonging to a community that spans generations.

🌲🔥 Learning, Growing, and Connecting in the Great Outdoors!
Our 6th graders traveled to Myrtlewood Camp on the Oregon Coast in October for Resident Outdoor School (ROS)—an opportunity to step outside the classroom, try new things, and grow together as a community.
From practicing archery and learning how to make a fire to hiking outdoors and pitching in with camp chores (Kitchen Patrol!), students built new skills, embraced challenges, and discovered what it means to work as a team. Along the way, they made new friends and strengthened existing friendships, created memories, and experienced the kind of learning that happens when you explore the world together. 🌿

We’ve been celebrating our Ashland High School teams this season, and the Grizzlies Boys Soccer team is having an incredible run!
The Ashland Boys Soccer team is undefeated (7–0) this season and currently ranked #2 in the OSAA 5A rankings! 🐻⚽
Seven games, seven wins, and a whole lot of teamwork, determination, and Grizzly spirit.
We’re proud to celebrate this team and all the work they’re putting in on and off the field.

New staff started on Thursday, Aug 20 with an orientation and opportunity to meet each other and learn the lay of the land.

Summer Learning in Action!
We are two-thirds of the way through our summer learning program, and students have had the opportunity to practice homesteading, make pasta, learn lacrosse, try yoga and engage in many other fun activities!
We are grateful to the teachers and staff who have made this program possible, and especially to our students for bringing their curiosity, energy and enthusiasm each day!

We’re thrilled to share that Ashland School District has received a State Summer Learning Grant, allowing us to offer summer learning opportunities this August for our students!
📅 Program Dates: August 3–21
👶 Incoming Kindergarten Session: Begins August 10
🎓 Who Can Participate: Students entering grades K–12
Our summer programs will blend academic support, hands-on enrichment, and opportunities to build confidence, connection, and readiness for the upcoming school year.
📍 More details about enrollment, locations, and schedules will be shared soon. We are in preliminary planning and anticipate this will be a full-day offering.
