ENROLLMENT BALANCING REVIEW

Update: March 13, 2023

Recommended Rezoning Scenario and Transition Plan Approved by School Board

Enrollment Balancing/Attendance Zone Boundary Review

Ashland School District is in the process of assessing school attendance zone boundaries for Bellview, Helman and Walker Elementary schools to adjust for changing school populations and assure equitable resources to all students.

In collaboration with members of the Ashland School District community, an enrollment rebalancing committee comprised of parents, guardians, staff, and community members will assess our school boundaries and make recommendations to the Superintendent for a decision by the Ashland School Board in February 2023.  Changes will go into effect for Fall 2023.

Update 2/23/23:

The enrollment balancing committee considered all relevant data, the guiding principles, and community input to develop the scenario that was recommended to Superintendent Bogdanove on 2/20/22. That recommendation is viewable on the interactive boundary map, and here. Superintendent Bogdanove will present this to the School Board on 2/27/22, and they will make a final determination at the board meeting on 3/13/22.
