Math Placement Test

Welcome students who are NEW to the ASHLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT. To ensure you are placed in an appropriate math class you need to take a Math Placement Test. The list of dates and times this test will be administered is below. Please contact Tammy Anderson at tammy.anderson@ashland.k12.or.us to schedule your placement test. Include in your email the name of the student, the grade level they will be entering (9th, 10th, 11th or 12th), the name of the last math class the student took, and which testing date they plan to attend.

Below is the adjusted schedule for the math placement assessment:

  • Wednesday, August 24th, 2:00-4:00 PM

  • Monday, August 29th, 2:00-4:00 PM (2 hours later than original schedule due to the change in the inservice/school calendar)

  • Wednesday, August 31st, 1:00-3:00 PM (after the ½ day of school for new students; NEW DATE due to change in the inservice/school calendar).

Any new-to-the-district sophomore, junior or senior needs to take a placement assessment so we can be sure they are accurately placed. New-to-the-district 9th graders only need to take the placement assessment if they want to take Geometry Honors. All other new 9th graders should be placed in Integrated Math 1.
