Community Service

Students at Ashland High School need to complete a Work Experience, Community Service or Intern as a Graduation Requirement.

Students receive 1 credit for providing 100 hours of community service to a nonprofit organization. Program requirements include students keeping a daily journal and obtaining a satisfactory evaluation from one or more community representatives. AHS has partnerships with local businesses that provide opportunities for AHS students to acquire the required credit. Download the Directory of Community Service Opportunities for more information.

The hours must be verified and the service learning form signed by the community mentor, or who you did the service for.

Students fill out a Service Learning Documentation Form (forms available in the counseling office). The completed form must be turned in to the main office (not the counseling office). Thank you!
