Sunshine, costumes, pirates, and a little Thriller! 🧟‍♂️ Walker Elementary students gathered in the courtyard to show off their Halloween costumes before bringing the spooky moves with a performance of the iconic Thriller dance!

And the staff? They sailed into Halloween as a crew of pirates! 🏴‍☠️☠️

Monster Dash Scholarships Available!! We want to make sure every student and their family, who would like to participate has the opportunity to join in the fun.

Thanks to the Ashland Schools Foundation, we have a limited number of scholarship codes available that cover 100% of the registration fee for families who may need financial assistance.

If your family would like to participate and the registration cost is a barrier, please contact Brittany directly at Walker at (541) 482-1516 between now and the end of the day Friday, and we will provide a scholarship code while supplies last. All requests will be handled confidentially.

We want every Walker Wolf who wants to run, walk, or be part of this wonderful community event to have the opportunity to participate!

Learning in Action!

Our 4th graders are bringing multiplication to life by building arrays, turning abstract math concepts into something they can see, touch, and understand! Hands-on learning helps students make meaningful connections while having fun along the way.

And adding a little fall flair to the classroom? Beautifully crafted apple art, proudly displayed across the room!

Yesterday brought beautiful skies, big smiles, and plenty of energy to Walker Elementary for their annual Walkathon!

Students laced up their shoes, got moving, and cheered each other on as they made their way around the course.

It was one of those wonderful school days that reminds us how much joy there is in learning, moving, and being together. What a great day to be a Walker Wolf! 🐾☀️

🐾 Walker Wolves Walk-A-Thon 🐾

Join us for the Walker Wolves Walk-A-Thon on Wednesday, October 7th from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the SOU Track! This fun event brings our school community together as we walk, jog and RUN to support our students together!

Donations for the Walk-a-Thon can be made by scanning the QR code below.
Families, please share this QR code with friends and relatives near and far to help support our school! When scanning, all you have to do is use the drop down, select your students teacher, enter pledge amount, enter your students name. That's it!!!

🌟 Back-to-School Family Picnic!

We hope you’ll join us Thursday, September 24, from 5:00–6:45 PM for an evening of community building, connection, and fun!

Bring a blanket and your family—we’ll provide the food! The Ashland Fire Department will be grilling hot dogs and veggie burgers for us.

📚 5:00 PM — Title I Presentation
Join us in the library for a short presentation about Title I.

🌭 5:30 PM — Dinner
Dinner will be served outside the cafeteria.

👋 6:15 PM — Staff Introduction & Classroom Presentations
We’ll gather just outside the cafeteria for a quick introduction of our staff. Then, students and families will head to classrooms for a short presentation with your child’s teacher.

Have more than one child at our school? You can split your time between classrooms or choose one classroom to attend together.

Summer Learning in Action!

We are two-thirds of the way through our summer learning program, and students have had the opportunity to practice homesteading, make pasta, learn lacrosse, try yoga and engage in many other fun activities!

We are grateful to the teachers and staff who have made this program possible, and especially to our students for bringing their curiosity, energy and enthusiasm each day!
