We would like to take this time to acknowledge and celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander month by highlighting the 2025 theme: "A Legacy of Leadership and Resilience". Our second honoree is Dr. Chien-Shiung Wu who is most known for her work on the top-secret Manhattan Project during World War II. and her Cobalt-60 experiment that contested the law of conservation. Dr. Chien-Shiung Wu: "I have confidence in humankind. I believe we will one day live together peacefully,". While not directly related to medicine, this quote from the physicist exemplifies her optimistic view of humanity and its potential for progress, a sentiment that can be applied to the goals of medicine and public health.
It's Teacher Appreciation Week! Please let our wonderful AHS teachers know how much you appreciate them!
Seniors- If you have not ordered your cap and gown yet- contact Herff Jones as soon as possible to get one ordered! The deadline for the main office can no longer assist in ordering.

Michelle Yeoh has won the Oscar for Best Actress, making her the first Asian woman to do so and the second woman of color.
