Summer School

Registration for Summer School is closed as of June 15th.

Families who registered should have received a confirmation email with details from our Summer School administrator and AHS Assistant Principal, Hillary Cusenza.

Program Details:

  • Dates: August 3–20 (Monday–Thursday)

  • Time: 8:30 AM – 3:10 PM

  • ✅ Transportation provided

  • ✅ Free breakfast (8-8:30) and lunch provided

What to Expect

Students will spend their mornings engaged in literacy and math instruction, followed by afternoon enrichment experiences both on campus and in partnership with community organizations.

This full-day program is designed to support students with a balance of:

  • Academic learning (literacy & math)

  • Credit retrieval

  • Enrichment activities

  • Social connection and confidence building

Sample Daily Schedule

  • 8:00 – 8:30 | Breakfast in Commons

  • 8:30 – 10:00 | Integrated hands-on learning with a focus on Literacy and Math

  • 10:00 – 10:15 | Body Break

  • 10:15 – 11:45 | Integrated hands-on learning with a focus on Literacy and Math

  • 11:25 – 12:30 | Lunch

  • 12:15 – 1:30 | Enrichment Class/Credit Retrieval

  • 1:30 – 1:45 | Body Break

  • 1:45 – 3:00 | Enrichment Class/Credit Retrieval

  • 3:10 | Bus Pick Up

Possible Enrichment Activities

  • Volunteer opportunities at the YMCA (limited spaces)

  • Lifeguard class at the YMCA (limited spaces)

  • Arts and crafts

  • Wellness and movement

  • Outdoor games
