Bonny

If you’ve had the good fortune to meet Bonny Photinos, an Educational Assistant in the Site-Based classroom, then you know what an out-going, generous, and kind person she is. Starting her 3rd year at AMS, she says, “I love the kids! There are a lot of good-hearted people who work here, so it feels like an extended family. I’ve been especially excited about the growth of all the student-affinity groups in the past few years.”

Bonny grew up in Kent, Ohio and was a senior in high school when the shootings took place at Kent State University in her hometown. She left Kent in 1979 and lived in Canada and Greece before making her way to Ashland in 1989.

Bonny has three children—Markos, Zoë, and Demitris—and one grandchild. She loves the small town, slower-paced life in Ashland but dreams of returning to Greece one day. In the meantime, she busies herself outside of work drawing and painting, writing, walking and being out in nature, and being with family and friends.
