This is Rebecca Delforge’s 4th year here at AMS as our school nurse. Growing up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Rebecca made her way west when she was 18 and decided she was “ready for some sunshine.” She finally settled in Southern Oregon after a stint in Hawaii and now lives here in Ashland with her husband Aaron Reed (of the musical group The Brothers Reed) and their two dogs, Sunny and Frankie. Rebecca loves being outdoors, hiking, going to the river, and (not surprisingly) listening to music.
Rebecca has worked in the healthcare system since 2008 and describes working at AMS as her dream job. “I love making connections with kids and meeting their needs. I get to hear about how their days are going and I work hard to provide a safe space for them.” About her new space, Rebecca says, “I love it! It’s very calm and bright and welcoming. I’m able to see more students because we have a bigger space with more individual recovery rooms.”
