Letter from the Principal:
This summer the Ashland School District will be offering a robust summer learning experience for our Kindergarten through 8th grades! The program will consist of two, 3 week summer sessions (Session 1 runs July 12th-30th and Session 2 runs Aug 2nd-20th). Depending on availability, it may be possible for your student to participate in both sessions. Classes will be held at Lincoln Elementary School Monday – Thursday from 9:00-12:00 with Fridays off. Not only will we be able to focus on academic skills in the morning, but we will also offer over 15 different enrichment activities for your child to choose from each afternoon. These optional activities include art, sports, science labs, geocaching, hiking, book making, outdoor education, Lego robotics, theater, and many more! Morning drop off will begin as early as 7:30 am with classes beginning at 9:00, and after school care will be available up until 6:00 pm. Transportation is available upon request. Breakfast, lunch and an after school snack will be provided. There is also the potential that we can even offer child care on Fridays. The best part of this plan is that we are able to offer all of this at no cost to you!
Tentative Daily Schedule:
8:00-9:00 Morning Supervision/Breakfast
9:00-10:20 Instructional Block (Reading/Writing/Math)
10:40-12:00 (Instructional Block (Reading/Writing/Math)
12:30-1:40 Afternoon Enrichment Activity
2:00-3:10 Afternoon Enrichment Activity
3:10-5:00 Pick Up/Afternoon Supervision at the YMCA
At this point, invites have gone out to students most highly affected by Schooling through Covid therefore space is limited. If you are interested, please fill out the survey using the link above no later than Friday, May 21st.
Available seats will first be offered to siblings of students already enrolled and any remaining openings will be determined by lottery. We hope to finalize placements on May 26th. At that time, we will be able to share specifics as to whether or not we can offer your child a spot, which session your child will be enrolled in, and the available enrichment sessions being offered.
