Principal's Update

Hello Grizzlies!

I hope that you are all well. It is a very busy time at AHS right now. Administration, teachers and staff are all making preparations for hybrid instruction which is slated to begin on March 29th. Hopefully you have all received the Hybrid Enrollment Survey which was sent to each family on Tuesday. For anyone that reached out because they did not receive it initially, it was resent to you on either Wednesday or Thursday. Please make sure you check your trash and spam folders as well. Filling out the survey is very important to our planning. The survey will close on Sunday Night. If you still did not get the survey, let us know and we will find another way to get it to you. We will use the results of the survey to divide our hybrid students into Groups A and B next week. Once we have that worked out we will communicate that to families so you know when your student will be scheduled for in-person instruction.

We have also included our new bell schedule and our weekly class period rotation below. Both new schedules will begin on March 29.

Thank you to everyone who attended our Hybrid Information Night last night. Your participation and questions are appreciated. In case you missed it, we have included the recording below along with a link to the Spanish version.

We still have work to do as we ready the campus and plan procedures for arrival and dismissal. We will share those details out once they are finalized. Our goal is to steadily communicate as we go through our last phases of planning.

We are doing all this work because we recognize the social emotional and academic benefits of in-person instruction. We have the state guidance and local case rates that will allow us to do this safely. Maintaining everyone’s health and safety will be our top priority as move forward and implement our hybrid schedule. We are excited about the prospect of having students back on campus.

Best,

Benjamin Bell
Principal
