Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 8:21 p.m. by the Chair, Keith Massie. II. Roll Check All members were present. III. Hear Food Service Advisory Committee Report Ruth Alexander presented the preliminary report from the Food Services Advisory Committee. She reviewed the various aspects and Board Members asked clarifying questions and made suggestions for how the committee should complete its work. It appears the committee is leaning towards making a recommendation to have a totally self run food service program which would require the district to hire a Food Services Director. If that is the case, Juli Di Chiro requested that the timeline for the final recommendation of the committee be moved up so the district has sufficient time to advertise, recruit and hire a Food Services Director. The committee will consider that recommendation and report back on whether or not they can be prepared to make a final report at the March 8 board meeting. Eva Skuratowicz presented some preliminary data from an Ashland Middle School student survey. This survey is also being presented to students at the other schools. Ms. Skuratowicz has not had time to analyze the data completely. She will be presenting more than raw data to the Food Service Advisory Committee at an upcoming meeting. Food Service Advisory Committee members listened to advice and suggestions from other board members and district staff and agreed to consider those in their final report. IV. Adjournment The meeting was adjourned at 9:32 p.m. Respectfully submitted by Jeanne Peterson, Administrative Assistant.
