Ashland School District No. 5, Jackson County, Oregon - The Board of Directors met in a work session November 19, 2007, at 4:00 p.m. in the District Board Room.  Present were:

I.          Call to Order


The meeting was called to order at 4:02 p.m. by Chair Marr.


II.         Roll Check


A roll of the board was taken and all members were present.


III.       Review Employee Benefits


            A.        PERS


Lori Sattenspiel of the Oregon School Boards Association gave an overview of the PERS program and the impact of the changes in PERS on public employers.


B.         Health Self Insurance Program


            Brady Davis of Elements gave an overview of how self funded health insurance programs compare to traditionally funded health care programs.


C.        403(b)


            Robby Harbst of Harbst & Associates gave an overview of 403(b) programs and new IRS regulations that change the way school districts must manage these investment funds.


IV.       Adjournment


There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:03 p.m.
