The Transportation Department employs a staff of twenty people. The department has two mechanics that maintain a fleet of 23 buses, 3 district cars and 3 Type 20 vehicles.   All of the transportation employees are state certified school bus drivers with over 200 years combined school bus driving experience for the Ashland School district.
  • Our 9 regular routes extend to the Ashland Ski Road at the summit of I-5; twenty five miles up the Greensprings; the Emigrant Lake area; nine miles up Dead Indian Memorial Road; the Wrights Creek area; Ashland Mine Road; Valley View Rd. just east of the Talent exit to the dump; and city wide from Crowson Rd to the intersection of N. Main and Valley View Rd.
  • The three special needs routes transport 39 students to 9 different sites in Ashland, Phoenix and Medford.
During the school year our transportation department travels throughout the Rogue Valley and neighboring communities and as far as Mt Shasta, Portland, Bend and Bandon providing transportation for sports and field trips.

Due to the commitment, care and hard work of the entire staff we are proud to provide safe transportation to the students of the Ashland School District, which is our number one priority.
