Ashland High School
US News & World Report's Silver Medal Award - For the fifth time, Ashland High School has earned silver medal status in US News and World Report's ranking of our nation's high schools, that were released today. AHS has earned silver medal status in 2007, 2009, 2012, 2013, and 2014. This honor is shared by all staff K-12 and is a testimony to the hard work of our students, teachers, staff, administrators, families and community! The ranking system recognizes schools that "serve all of its students well, not just those who are college-bound. Award winning schools must be able to produce measurable academic outcomes to show the school is successfully educating its student body across a range of performance indicators." Nationally our ranking improved from 1,395th to 1,267th best school in the nation, placing us in the top 6% of high schools in the country. Within Oregon, our ranking improved from 15th to 12th best school in the state (top 4%). That includes small charter and magnet schools. When compared to other public high schools, the results are even better.
