The alternative education teachers at Ashland High School believe that every child in our classrooms is inherently valuable regardless of past (or future) success.
As such, we seek to:
- Develop a personalized education plan with academic excellence as the centerpiece
- Build upon basic skills while increasing the relevance of the curriculum - making connections between academic concepts and real, human experience
- Encourage discussion and questions - enhancing critical thinking skills
- Build community
- Require accountability from every student within our classrooms.
