Bellview is a historic community within Ashland. There has been a school on the Bellview site since the late 1800's when it was a community separate from the city and its own school district. We were very fortunate in 2006 when the voters of Ashland passed a bond measure allowing our school to be rebuilt, while preserving the historic portion of the school which was built in 1910. The Bellview staff was able to work with architects and community members to design the building that you see today which opened in the fall of 2009.
This building was designed to honor the past and teach to the future. Each classroom is equipped with the latest in teaching technology. At the end of the 2011-12 school year we were able to use Title 1 funds to purchase three mobile iPad labs that are in use in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades in addition to the iPod lab that is availble to primary teachers. Some other unique attributes of our school are our fully equipped art and science rooms. We have also have a school garden that we are looking for support with (please contact Kristin McKean
Bellview is a community that honors its traditions and is always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow.
