Class of 2016 Graduation Information

We are making preparations for Graduation on Friday, June 3 at 6:30 PM in Lithia Park. Rehearsal begins promptly at 9:00 AM on June 3 at the Lithia Park Bandshell. All graduates participating in the ceremony are required to attend. We ask that you notify the office right away if you do not intend to participate in the graduation ceremony.  All graduates must begin lining up prior to the ceremony at 5:30 PM wearing their caps and gowns. Caps and gowns may not be decorated; shorts are not permitted. Suitable attire includes a dress or a skirt/slacks with a nice shirt. Choose your footwear carefully so that you can walk comfortably on the uneven terrain. The Class of 2016 will begin their processional at 6:15 PM.

Fees, Fines, and Lockers
Outstanding fees and fines must be paid by June 1. In addition, students must return all library books and textbooks to the Textbook Depository after final exams. Remember, students will not be allowed to walk at graduation if they have not returned all books and uniforms and paid their outstanding fees and fines. We ask that lockers be cleaned out by 4:00 PM on June 2. Items left in lockers or in lost and found will be disposed of or donated.

Our Professional photographer will post Graduation 2016 photos within 72 hours. In order to preserve everyone’s view, we will rope off the area in front of our graduates. We want parents to behave with decorum and remain seated during the event. We will designate a photo area on one side of the stage for those parents who want to take a quick photo of their graduate and then return to their seats. 

Official Photographer Larry Stauth (Rock Solid Photography) will be present at rehearsal as well as graduation and will take photographs of each student receiving his or her diploma. Photos will be uploaded in batches to throughout the 72-hour period and there will be a link on the homepage directing to the AHS 2016 Graduation photo gallery. He is often able to honor special requests, provided they are made in a timely manner and will not impede his ability to photograph all graduates. Contact for more information.

Professional Videographer, Jereme Dittmer of Catalyst Video Production will create a DVD of the Graduation festivities including pre- and post-ceremony footage for $25. Orders may be placed online at A mail-in form is also available at this link. Call 541-840-0032 with questions.

There will not be any chairs set up by AHS on the lawn. Families choosing to watch graduation from the lawn area in front of the Bandshell must bring their own blankets and low-profile chairs (think Britt Festival). Blankets and chairs will be allowed on the lawn beginning at 5:00 PM. A security guard will remove anything placed on the lawn prior to 5:00 PM. We will provide chairs only for elderly or disabled patrons. The chairs will be located on the street (closed to traffic) and along the wheelchair-accessible ramps.

Inclement Weather
In the unlikely event of a torrential downpour, we will move the ceremony to the AHS Gym. If a change of venue occurs, a notice will appear on our website and will also be sent via phone on the emergency alert system to all AHS families.

Schedule for Friday, June 3:
9:00-10:30 AM  Mandatory graduation rehearsal for seniors at the Lithia Park Bandshell
5:00 PM Place blankets and low-profile chairs on the lawn.
Any chairs/blankets/items placed before 5:00 PM will be removed.
5:15 PM Preshow entertainment begins
5:30 PM Graduates arrive at Lithia Park and line up
6:15 PM Processional begins
6:30-8:30 PM   Graduation Ceremony
10:00-11:00PM Students arrive at the AHS Theater Lobby to check in for Senior All-Night 
4:30-5:00 AM Students arrive back at AHS from Senior All Night
