Linda Terry

Linda Terry grew up in Northern Virginia and attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, studying geology and philosophy.  She initially became interested in teaching while working in Tokyo as an English instructor for adults followed by volunteer work in the Philippines with NGOs focusing on women’s literacy and funding for rural schools.  After returning to the U.S., she worked with a service-learning program at Georgetown University, whereby college students were matched with local schools and educational programs.  Linda then went on to teach science and math on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona for 8 years before moving with her husband, 2 daughters, dog and turtle to Oregon, where she taught middle school in Grants Pass just prior to coming to Willow Wind.
