Ashland School District No. 5, Jackson County, Oregon - The Board of Directors met in a work session October 18, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at the Winchester Inn.    Present were:

I.          Call to Order

 

            The meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by Chair Parker.

 

II.         Roll Check

 

            A roll of the board was taken and all members were present. 

 

III.            Superintendent-Board Operating Goals

 

The Board worked with Oregon School Boards Association Facilitator, Betsy Miller-Jones, who facilitated discussion of the following items:

 

Handouts were reviewed.

The Board and superintendent worked on a Board job description. 

The Board and superintendent worked on Board expectations of the superintendent. 

The group worked on superintendent expectations of the Board. 

The group discussed the board meetings and organization. 

The group discussed communication strategies.

 

IV.            Adjournment

             

              There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 2:10 p.m.
